Adding an overlay of builder gel increases durability for those who enjoy the feel of gel-x extensions, but know they can be rougher on their nails. It also conveniently allows for gel-x sets to be refilled for up to two times before it is recommended to soak-off the nails. With proper prep and application, they offer excellent retention—lasting 2.5 weeks to up to 1.5 months. Acrylic powder nails are a mixture of liquid monomer (I exclusively use high-quality, legally compliant, and ethically sourced EMA monomer) and powder polymer which then hardens over the natural nails and added-on artificial extensions. This is a popular choice for nail enhancement because they are strong and durable. However, it's important to be aware that prolonged use may gradually weaken the natural nail bed over time. Regular care and proper maintenance are essential to minimize this risk and keep your natural nails healthy. Note: Acrylic sets CAN BE refilled!

Currently, I do not own a colored dip powder collection. After adding on extensions and filing to desired shape and length, I'll then dip 2-3 coats of clear dip powder to build the base- clear dip has a thinner consistency than colored dip powder, so I can ensure it does not feel or look thick/lumpy for the final result. Lastly, after sealing/buffing the nails, I'll paint and LED cure your choice of gel polish color and, if desired, designs on top along with top coat to seal everything in. This ensures the proper support for the dip powder base and maximizes retention.
